Brave New World Visual pieceThe medium that I chose was Watercolors on watercolor paper. I chose to do watercolors because I wanted to get a drippy sad/ melancholy look that I thought I could achieve by doing watercolors. 2. How were you able to get your idea across using the basics (art elements and principles)? 3. If you were to do it all over again, would you do it the same way or what specifically would you change about your process on this project? I would have changed my mediums to acrylic on canvas. I think it would have looked better because acrilic stays were you put it but watercolors just go everywhere and if you don't do it right it looks sloppy and nasty. (I didn't do it right) |
Animation Reflection In Ms. Roxy's class we made animations in Flash. My animation was based on the movie The Shining. (hence the elevator) I know what you're thinking, Where's the animation?? Well about that... Apparently my animation was too big for Flash ,so the program kept crashing. I ended up having to turn that project in unfinished.

Book Cover Reflection What make good book cover for me is if it portray a feeling. I normally choose do books with a certain feel to it like books with a certain color skemes because it makes the emotion stronger. I think mysterious book covers are more interesting to look at for me.Vague book cover are probably the most appealing to me. The more confusing the cover is, the more I want to read the book.
I think art is used as a vehicle for communication is because it is a simple way to portray a thought or feeling. You don't need to know a certain language to interpret art. For example the drawing on cave wall can tell a story with out using words. To what extent does a work of art depend on the viewers point of view? I don't really understand this question... but I think its asking me how other people can look at this cover |
